Letter from the President
It seems like we were just finishing up with Spring 2014, and now Spring 2015 is knocking on the door. This year promises to be exciting for the nursery industry. The stock market is up (and down and up), oil prices are the lowest in decades, and housing starts are on the rise – looks like we can expect short stocks and tall orders. That’s a big change from five years ago!
With the pressures for increased propagation and production, I’m grateful to have the professional advice and friendships that I’ve made through IPPS over the years. IPPS is the highest concentration of talent and knowledge in our industry. It is a professional investment that has consistently paid off, regardless of the markets. It’s hard to put a high enough value on expertise.
I know it’s a little early to be thinking about the fall, but I want to encourage all of you to come to Tampa October 10-14th. We’ll be hosting the International Meeting this year, and there will be an exciting group of people to share ideas and perspectives. I look forward to seeing you all there.
